A big thank you to Mrs. Phillips for using the Philosophical Chairs as a Teaching Strategy in her classroom! It works and students love it! Eighth grade did an intense Philosophical Chairs on the American Colonization Society (a group that worked in the early-mid 19th century to buy slaves their freedom and settle them in the new colony of Liberia). The next week, Aubree Wright did a presentation for both 8th grade classes on Liberia so they could get a better picture of the history of the colony to modern times. #TeamChickasha
