Cell Phone (PED) Policy
📵 NEW DISTRICT POLICY – PERSONAL ELECTRONIC DEVICES 📵
Chickasha Public Schools is enforcing District Policy ER for all personal electronic devices (PEDs).
From first bell to last bell, students may not use cell phones or other PEDs on campus.
PEDs include:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smart watches
🎧 Ear buds / headphones
💻 Tablets / gaming devices / smart glasses
(School-issued devices for instruction are allowed)
Key Rules:
1️⃣ Devices must be turned off & put away during the school day.
2️⃣ No device use in class, at lunch, during passing periods, or breaks.
3️⃣ Storage method will be determined by site administration.
⚠️ Reminder: The district is not responsible for lost or stolen devices.
Exceptions:
✅ Emergencies (approved by administration)
✅ Medical/Disability needs documented in official plans (IEPs or 504s)
Violations will result in disciplinary action as determined by administration.
