Scholarships

1.  Read and follow ALL instructions carefully.      

2.  Remember, this applications represents you.  Be neat.   Watch spelling and punctuation.  Bind it neatly. (if applicable)   Turn it in on time.  Watch those deadlines!    

3.  There is a 24 hour turn around for transcripts. Do not wait until the last minute.

4.  If you need a letter of recommendation, please allow sufficient time from your recommenders.

You will never be in the running for a scholarship if you do not take the time to complete an application!

 


B.J. Clack Memorial Scholarship

Deadline: May 13, 2022 at noon. Turn into the counseling office.

Qualifications:

❖ You are a senior at Chickasha High School

❖ You demonstrate a strong commitment to pursue higher education

❖ You include a high school transcript and ACT score

❖ You have an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher

❖ You possess high moral character

❖ You include one letter of recommendation

❖ You demonstrate financial need - a copy of your parent or guardian's most

recent Federal Income Tax Return included

Dave Tapp Memorial Scholarship

Requirements: GPA of 2.5 or above. Must have been involved with football or powerlifting in some capacity. Senior at Chickasha High School. Include 2 letters of recommendation. Include a personal letter to describe the importance Chickasha Football or Powerlifting has had on your life.

Craig Meyer Memorial Soccer Scholarship

Qualifications: this student must have a 3.0 or above GPA, must have an endorsement from both the high school principal and high school soccer coach(es), must be dependable,dedicated and show leadership. Student must be a soccer player.

Eligibility for this scholarship includes:

1. Student must have maintained a C+ or better grade point average

2. Student is enrolled in or plans to attend college or trade school after high school

First National Bank and Trust Co. Smart Money Scholarship

The SmartMoney College Scholarship Program is offered exclusively by FNBT in your community. Apply for this scholarship and submit it to Mrs. Elliott's office. To qualify you must 1. Be a senior in the public school or home school within 15 miles of our location near you, 2. plan to go to college, and provide FNBT a copy of your class schedule before receiving the funds, and 3. Answer the following questions attached on a separate sheet. You may only apply once.

Horatio Alger 2022

Current career tech seniors who plan on attending a Career Tech after high school OR a two-year Oklahoma college. Scholarships are based on Pell eligibility OR family income less that $55,000.

Gwen Brooks Memorial Arts Scholarship

This scholarship has a value of up to $1,000 and is available to high school seniors enrolled in public, private or home schools in the Chickasha area. Eligible applicants are those presently participating in OR have participated in "Fine Arts" programs (Visual Arts and/or Performance Arts) in their schools AND/OR in the community. Applicants will attend a college or university of their choice and will major in the "Fine Arts" (Visual Arts and/or Performing Arts).

CCOSA Student Scholarships

Children of active CCOSA members (not including Associate, Business, or OARSA members) are eligible and encouraged to participate.

Please note that a common scholarship form is used for this process. Members of the scholarship selection committee will best match the student's accomplishments with the criteria set forth in the scholarships listed below. Students are only eligible to receive one scholarship.

Scholarships will be awarded as follows: seven $2,000 scholarships, four $2,500 scholarships and one $5,000 scholarship.

P.E.O Oklahoma Chapter C.R. Scholarship

It is the pleasure of the P.E.O. Chapter CR in Chickasha, OK to award college scholarships (minimum $750) to deserving female high school seniors from Grady County who have exhibited strong leadership and excellent citizenship and who have been active in service-organizations and extra-curricular activities. 

Application eligibility and requirements include:

  • Proof of citizenship or legal permanent residency of the U.S.A., if requested,
  • A cumulative 3.25 grade point average or better,
  • An official high school transcript including ACT scores in all areas,
  • A letter of recommendation from personnel at current school
  • A letter of recommendation from an adult acquaintance outside of the school, and
  • A completed and timely application mailed to by   April 1, 2022 to:

The Shelter Insurance Foundation Agents’ Scholarship Program annually awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors in communities with a Shelter Mutual Insurance Company agent participating in the program.

Shelter Insurance Agent Gerron Smith is sponsoring the Shelter Insurance Foundation Agents’ Scholarship Program at Chickasha High School in 2022.

Bank of Commerce Make a Difference Scholarship

Bank of Commerce Scholarship Program awards FIVE $1,000 scholarships each year to high school seniors residing in the counties of Stephens, Grady, Caddo and Comanche.

Who is eligible? • Graduating High School Senior residing in the counties of Stephens, Grady, Caddo and Comanche. • Student who has maintained a 3.0 GPA in their senior year. • Student intends to enroll as a full-time college student within 12 months of graduation

The Frances Koop Parsons/AT&T Pioneers Memorial Scholarship

  • Qualifications: This scholarship is a one-time award worth $1,000 and is paid in equal $500 portions for fall and spring semesters.
  • The family income of applicants may not exceed $75,000.
  • The scholarship is open to first-time freshmen only with at least a 3.0 high school grade point average.
  • Applicants must be Oklahoma residents.
  • Recipients must enroll full-time at an eligible Oklahoma postsecondary institution.
  • Preference will be given to students with a strong volunteer and leadership background.
  • Recipients agree to allow AT&T Pioneers to use photos, likenesses and name for publicity purposes.

Dr. Bob Mooneyham Memorial Scholarship

To qualify, the candidate:

  • Must be a high school student who will earn a diploma from an Oklahoma public high school during the 2021-22 school year.
  • Must have plans to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. college, university or career technology center beginning in the fall of 2022.

OERB Petroleum Scholar

Each year, OERB awards up to $500,000 to students majoring in petroleum-related fields at the University of Oklahoma (OU), the University of Tulsa (TU), Oklahoma State University (OSU) and Oklahoma City University (OCU). Each OERB Petroleum Scholar has the opportunity to be awarded up to $17,500 in scholarships throughout their college career.

This scholarship program is designed to prepare students for careers as graduate students, professors or professional researchers. Applicants must be full-time college students, have completed 42 hours or more, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and be a first generation college student or a student from an underrepresented ethnic group.

Varsity Tutors College Scholarship Contest: $1,000 monthly awards
Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college scholarship contest where students must write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.

Work Zone Safe

Oklahoma teen drivers ages 15-19 who successfully complete the Work Zone Safety online course are entered each month to win a $500 educational scholarship provided by The Association of Oklahoma General Contractors.
